If you’re anything like me, you often have a million tabs open and find it hard to keep track of all of them. Everything from personal stuff to research to client projects to whatever else you’re working on; yep, you’ve got a tab for everything! Not only is it hard to find what you need, it slows your browser down. It’s frustrating!

Since I switched to Chrome a few years ago, I’ve been trying to find something to help manage my open tabs. I tried various extensions that just didn’t work like I wanted them to and the best way I found to manage everything was by using different browser windows for different topics: research, personal stuff, client work, social media, etc. That still meant having multiple windows open, though, and is less than ideal.

Recently, I decided to start looking for a better solution and that’s when I happened on an extension called Workona.

Workona adds a tab manager that lives right in a tab, letting you organize your tabs into workspaces. It allows you to keep it all in one browser window. You simply switch between your workspaces which suspends the tabs you’re not using allowing you to focus on the tabs you need.

As you can see from the above screenshot, Workona also allows you to work your favorte apps – Google products, Dropbox, Evernote, Asana, and more. Simply install the app in the extension.

One of the things I really like about it Workona is that my browser (and thus my computer) are a lot faster.

The base Workona extension is free and includes 10 workspaces with as many tabs and resources as you want. You can get the premium version (for $6 per month) with unlimited workspaces if you need more. Although I use Chrome, Workona is available for all major browsers including Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari.

Need something specific? Workona has templates for different scenarios.
